How is the Vedanta society faring in modern America?

I think that the modern Vedanta society is faring well in
modern America.  There are quite a few Vedanta societies throughout the United States in
different regions of the country.  These societies offer classes on Vedanta, and its
different aspects, as well as serve as houses of meditation and worship.  They serve as
homes for those who are well associated with Vedanta.  What also distinguishes them is
that they also welcome the pilgrim new to Vedantic worship.  In this, one sees an
invocation of Swami Vivekananda's idea of "Sisters and Brothers of America" call to his
speech at the Parliament of Religions in 1893.  These Vedanta Societies are extremely
welcoming, with this process meaning expansion of existing facilities and the creation
and sustaining of websites that help to spread the word to more people through
cyberspace.  In this, one can see that the word of Vedanta is finding more people, and
reaching more people than at any other time in modern American
History.
