What are some characteristics of people who are likely to benefit from psychological treatment?

First of all, people who are likely to benefit from
psychological therapy are the ones who already know that there is a psychological
problem that must be solved and not avoided, in order to get
better.

Usually, those who seek psychological therapy
benefit from family and friends understanding and
support.

It is very well known that people with a higher
level of education will seek psychological therapy when they feel that they experience a
psychological problem.

The efectiveness of psychological
therapy depends on some features of the patient. For instance, the presence of
personality or psychotic disorders may represent a barrier in psychological therapy and
it can lead to a lack of response. Also, the lack of skills of therapist may lead to the
failure of  psychological treatment.
