What did Caroline Bingley do to Elizabeth Bennet in Pride and Prejudice?Caroline Beingley from the book obviously hates Elizabeth, i know her...

Caroline Bingley, who is indeed not very fond of Elizabeth
Bennet, based her animosity on the fact that Elizabeth draws Darcy's attention like no
other woman has in the past. Moreover, Caroline sees Darcy as her own potential beau and
is jealous of the fact that Darcy seems very impressed with Elizabeth even when Eliza's
own behavior towards Darcy is nowhere near as submissive, as Caroline's
is.

Everything Caroline would do to Elizabeth was with the
sole purpose of humilliate or aggravate her. For example, Caroline confronted Elizabeth
in order to expose Wickham's evil ways. This, she did not only to expose Wickham, but
also to make Elizabeth feel fooled and stupid. To this, Elizabeth responded by calling
Caroline a "impertinent girl" and by walking away from her after telling her a thing or
two. Elizabeth is never quiet.

Another thing that is
perhaps more painful to Elizabeth is that Caroline ceases all her contact with
Elizabeth's sister, Jane, and did this in order to make both Jane and Elizabeth feel
more inadequate, more isolated, and more sad than ever before. The way that Caroline
breaks her acquaintance is cold and rude. Jane does not see it coming. Elizabeth,
however, knows better. This is why whatever Caroline does, Elizabeth would rematch in
the end with a comment, an action, or a clear warning to never be spoken in a belittling
way again.
