Use the equation 12x-2y=16 identify the slope of the equation and the y-intercept.

The slope and y-intercept form can be found by writing the
equation as a form where y is expressed in terms of x and is the dependent term and x is
the independent term.

The format is the slope-intercept
form, y = mx + c, where m is the slope and c is the
y-intercept.

12x - 2y =
16

=> 2y = 12x -
16

=> y = 6x -
8

This gives the slope as 6 and the
y-intercept as -8.
