The point A(3,m) lies on the graph of f(x)=x+2. What is the value of m?

If a point lies on the graph of a function, then it's
coordinates must verify the expression of the
function.

According to all of these, we'll replace x and y
by the coordinates of the point A.

f(x) = x + 2
<=> y = x + 2

A(3 , m) belongs to the graph
of f(x) <=> yA = xA + 2

m = 3 +
2

=> m =
5

The coordinates of the point A, that is
located on the graph of the linear function f(x) = x + 2, are: A(3 ,
5).
