Which of the following is a product of photosynthesis? a) Sugar;b) Carbon dioxide; c) Xylem; d) None of the above

Photosynthesis is a process by which organisms like
plants, algae and several types of bacteria are able to convert carbon dioxide to sugars
with sunlight as the source of power. Another essential compound necessary for
photosynthesis to occur is water. The carbon dioxide used in photosynthesis is taken
from the atmosphere; the waste product generated during  photosynthesis is oxygen which
is released into the atmosphere.

The process of
photosynthesis is essential for life to exist. All creatures that are not capable of
carrying out photosynthesis use the sugars produced during photosynthesis as their
energy source.

Of the given alternatives, the
product of photosynthesis is sugar or option a.
