Find the intercepts of -(1/2)y - 12 = x

Given the function :

-(1/2)y
- 12 = x

We need to find the
intercepts.

First we will find the y intercept. Then the
value of x is 0.

==> -1/2 y -12 =
0

==> -1/2 y=
12

==> y= -24

Then the
y-intercept is the point ( 0, -24)

Now we will find the
x-intercept. Then the value of y= 0

==> -1/2 * 0 -12
= x

==> x= -12

Then the
x-intercept is the point (-12, 0)

Then the
intercepts are: ( -12,0) and (0, -24)
